What is Oppo’s view on wearing an F1 team’s branded shirts? I kind of want a Mercedes F1 or Red Bull Shirt (I like Ferrari but I’d rather not wear a bright red shirt around town) but there’s the worry of looking like a bit weird since most people in the US have no idea what F1 is.
So what is Oppo’s position on this? Just wear it because I want to and forget everyone else? Or save the money and get several nice pints?

if its actually a nice shirt, go for it. if your wearing it for the sake of wearing a branded shirt. meh.

Well I think they’re nice and I want to show my support. I was thinking maybe this:

i was thinking in terms of quality. not just design
but I would rock something like that on casual fridays

Go for it! It’s no different than wearing a football or soccer jersey

Do what you want.

Ah gotcha! Not sure if it’s actually by Hugo Boss since all the websites say it’s a replica of the team’s shirt. I would hope so for the price they charge though.

I used to wear my bright red Ferrari stuff all the time, I really didn’t care that it was bright red. Used my McLaren jacket for a while too.

I wouldn’t but that’s just me.

The KMart-Texaco shirts I got from my CART connection were made by DKNY. They were white, and not very wearable.

I would do it but I just cannot justify the price. Who cares about other people?

Yeah the prices are pretty outrageous. I’m planning on waiting until the winter when the new season’s merchandise goes up and the 2015 season’s stuff goes on sale.

I wear stuff all the time that not many people get. If someone gets it, that’s cool, if not I don’t care.
Go for it if the price is right!

I have no problem with team shirts, lots of people wear those heavily sponsored nascar jackets and those can get a bit outrageous. Don’t worry about what others think.
Ps. I had my eye on this McHonda t-shirt, pricey though.

For me, the fact most Americans would not have a clue... is a selling point.

Go Williams...classy as fuck.

I would if the back wasn’t suddenly dark blue with a giant Randstad logo. I love the front but the back just looks a little off to me.

My solution to the Ferrari issue is to find a black version of whatever Ferrari branded clothes you want. Having said that, just having a Ferrari badge on your clothes will make some people think you are a twat. I say fuck those people, wear what you want!

See, that’s a great shirt. Simple and attractive. As someone that comes from NC, totally agree on the NASCAR jacket thing. Those things make people look like the biggest corporate whores humanity has ever seen.

who cares what others think , as long as you are happy.

Now you’re making me want to just bite the bullet and buy a full on Rosso Corsa Scuderia Shirt.

Wear what you want when you want. Who cares what other people think or if they know about F1. Are you going to wear F1 branded clothes for other people to admire or because you like it? Exactly. So wear whatever you want.

I used to wear my Scuderia Ferrari hat and sweatshirt to superbowl parties.

I do find the heavily sponsored team gear a little busy for me, so I hardly wear it out of the house.
Which is why I tend to buy stuff like this
rather than this
Wear what you want, man.
I also try to buy items from teams that are going under/changing names. I bought a Jaguar sweatshirt,
Marussia wallet,
BrawnGP hat and lanyard, etc... I don’t think they had a lot of cheap Caterham gear when they went under, so I didn’t get any of their stuff.

I wish I could find my redbull racing shirt. I would wear my jarno trulli toyota hat but I cannot pull off hats. In the meantime I occasionally wear my dad’s Lotus Team (not Team Lotus although that would be amazing) jacket.

I bet the current Lotus merch is at a deep discount! *leaves to google*

I would love a Brawn GP shirt. Those things are so hard to find. Ross Brawn is one of my heroes so it’d be pretty awesome to wear a Brawn GP shirt when going out.
I might just get the Scuderia shirt now. The problem I’ve run into with my “minimalist” Ferrari shirt is that some guys assume you’re a poser or if they ask you if you’ve got a Ferrari and you reply “no” they very quickly run off. At least with the Scuderia shirt then it’d be a little more obvious I don’t own an actual Ferrari F1 car. Although people never cease to amaze.
With that said, screw it! I’m going to get a Scuderia shirt when they go on sale and wear it with pride.

I bought the hat/lanyard right after the announcement was made that Mercedes bought the team... I’m wearing the lanyard right now, as a matter of fact.
I don’t think they ever produced a lot of that stuff. That team wasn’t expected to do
anything.
Then 8 months later, they won the WCC and the WDC. Then shortly after that, they were gone.
They just coudn’t ramp up production before it was too late.
I wish I would have bought a shirt now, too
